Benefits of Solar
According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration 67% of the electricity generated in the U.S. is still coming from dirty fossil fuels which continue to pollute our planet and harm the earth. Renewable energy only makes up about 6% of the countries energy source. Solar energy only makes up about .4% of the total energy that comes from renewable sources. The benefits of solar energy is gaining more and more traction as solar panels become cheaper and more programs that are available like Solar Sources lease program continue to make it more affordable for consumers to make the switch. Reducing the electricity that we draw from the grid will reduce carbon emissions. This means a more healthy ecosystem for generations to come and a more healthy you.

Growth of Solar
According to the Solar Energy Industries Association, the growth of solar achieved a record year in 2014 growing 34% compared to 2013 to nearly 7,000 megawatts (MW) of solar electric capacity. Within the photovoltaic (PV) sector over 6200 megawatts (MW) of capacity was installed. This was led by residential and utility which grew 51% and 38% respectively.
